Lead Firmware Security Architect

In this role, you will design and implement the foundation of device security, focusing on secure boot sequences, isolated execution environments, and hardware security module integrations. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure boot protocols and trusted execution logic for diverse hardware platforms.
  • Build interfaces for dedicated security hardware and cryptographic co-processors.
  • Refine low-level system software to meet the highest standards of reliability and security.
  • Perform rigorous vulnerability analysis on firmware and low-level hardware-software interfaces.
  • Manage the technical roadmap for hardware-specific security features and integrations.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation for internal teams and strategic partners.
  • Represent the firm at industry events to discuss the latest trends in hardware-based security.
 


Core Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in firmware development with a focus on security.
  • Expert-level C programming skills for bare-metal and RTOS environments.
  • Experience with Secure Boot, TEE, or HSM (Hardware Security Modules).
  • Deep understanding of hardware-software interfaces and low-level system architecture.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to own complex technical projects.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, self-motivated team environment.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for complex system documentation.
  • Expertise in developing trusted boot sequences and isolated execution environments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with reliability certifications for high-consequence industries.
